SGD's LA Based Photo Team

We’d like to introduce you to the small green door photography team. Our talented and growing team of photographers each offer a unique set of skills and work together to create the stunning images that small green door is known for, with work ranging from fashion to home, food, leisure, and tech brands. Creating and maintaining a harmonious and collaborative environment is crucial to the SGD culture as we navigate the delicate balance between mentorship and mastery. Let’s meet the team:

Experience and Mastery of the Craft

Our Lead Photographer and co-founder, Dunja Dumanski, brings nearly two decades of knowledge and experience to the studio. As a professional studio photographer in Los Angeles, Dunja's list of clients includes many big brand names, such as TOMS shoes, Garrett Leight, MeUndies, and Nike. A master of her craft, Dunja regularly shares her knowledge and experience with the rest of the team, with a focus on photography fundamentals, understanding light and composition, and mastering camera settings and post-production editing.

A Second Pair of Eyes

One of the newest additions to the small green door family is our Associate Photographer, Cody Tatro. His advanced technical abilities and prodigious use of light and shadow are used to create beautiful and dramatic images for our most challenging photography needs. With a BFA in Visual Media from the Rochester Institute of Technology, his finely-tuned technical skills make him a huge asset to our photo team. Cody also ensures that our shoots are always completed on time and on budget by acting as a second shooter - and a second pair of eyes, with eagle-eyed attention to detail and the client's vision.

A Fresh Perspective

We recognize the importance of creative mentorship and value the time and effort that our senior photographers put into growing and nurturing our younger team members and interns. We also appreciate the fresh and often unique perspectives that our Junior Photographers bring to projects and how they often inspire us to think in fresh, new ways. Dunja has recently taken to mentoring our Junior Photographer, Tony Valentino. Tony’s passion for the latest in photo tech as well as traditional film, and raw, urban street photography, has sparked many new ideas in the studio. Ultimately, we believe that our photography department exemplifies one of small green door’s core values: Collaboration.

Tarina brings her unique style and perspective to our studio in between tours, adding a fresh and creative approach to our projects.
